Fundraising appeal - we need your help

Thank you for being a past customer and/or supporter of Kidsafe Queensland. As you are probably aware, Kidsafe is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to the prevention of unintentional injury and injury death in children.

We provide resources, information and education to parents, carers, early childcare workers, high-school students and others on the hazards children face and what can be done to prevent injuries.

We also prepare campaigns to alert the media, the authorities and the community about new and existing dangers, trends in injuries, the latest research, and prevention techniques to reduce these injuries and death. We also lobby government for changes to legislation when necessary.

We need your help to continue this important work. Kidsafe relies on our commercial arm – hiring of capsules and child restraints, sales from our safety product shop - AND, for the first time, we are asking you for help by donation.

Your gift will help reduce the number of unintentional injuries that put children in Queensland hospitals and emergency departments. It will help decrease the number of children who are burnt, drowned, run over or injured in so many preventable “accidents”.

Join the Kidsafe Circle of Life - our bequesters club

Making a will is an important thing to do - it gives you the opportunity to safeguard what is important to you and how you want your assets to be managed.

Including a gift to your favourite community group is one way to continue your support and, by leaving a gift to Kidsafe Queensland, keep future generations of Queensland children safe and healthy.

You may find the following words helpful for inclusion in your will. However, it is important to see your legal advisor before you do so.

“I give to Kidsafe Qld Inc the sum of $______________(or __% of my residuary estate) to be applied to the general purposes of Kidsafe Qld Inc. I declare that the receipt of the chairperson of Kidsafe Qld Inc will be a sufficient discharge to my executors who will not be bound, after such receipt is given, to enquire further into the application of this gift”.
